WITTERNBERG RESERVE

Public BBQ

Witternberg Reserve presents itself as a pleasant bushland retreat, though visitors should note the absence of barbecue facilities that many Australian parks typically offer. The reserve features a sealed walking and cycling path winding through lovely native bushland, providing a peaceful escape despite some freeway noise affecting the northern boundary. The playground proves popular with families, featuring slides, swings, and a basketball backboard, though the metal equipment becomes uncomfortably hot during summer months. While several picnic tables dot the landscape, most lack shade coverage, though mature trees provide some relief around the perimeter. The toilet block serves as the main facility, compensating somewhat for the missing barbecue amenities that visitors frequently request.
